Imagine you, as a guild leader, want to test a player before they join your guild…
Or you want to make it possible for certain players to participate in your guild’s activities (e.g. raids) without joining it…
This is where Participants come in. They are not your guild members, but have (limited?) access to your guild site, guild forums and guild Discord server. And you can manage them as you do your regular members.
Participants can have so called Tier-based Participant Guild Roles assigned to them. Like regular members of your guild, you can tier these players, automanage their ranks across GuildPlanner.Pro (“WebSite”) and your Discord server. You can also assign Tank, Healer, Damage Dealer etc type guild roles to them as well.
As a guild leader, in guild administration page, you can enable this feature with one click:
Once done, you can create Participant Tier-based Guild Roles.
Since Participants aren’t your actual guild members, they are not handled through regular Data-Import. Instead, using WebSite, they apply as one.
Participant
Guild Role is assigned to them once you accept their applications.
In a nutshell, alongside with
Members
type guild role,Participants
type comprises guilds Core two guild role types. At the end of the day, any player associated with a guild is either a member or a participant there (provided the latter is enabled in the guild).
